Master of Science in Cybersecurity

The Cybersecurity program offers a collection of courses in cybersecurity to prepare graduates for managerial and analysis positions in a wide range of professional settings to fill a policy formulation and analysis within the cybersecurity domain.

The main goal of the M.Sc. program in Cybersecurity is intended for students who will examine, and address issues related to cybersecurity and technologies through a multidisciplinary and strategic perspective, ensuring a thorough understanding and application of cybersecurity principles. The program focuses on evaluating cyber-attacks and identifying security vulnerabilities while weighing the pros and cons of different security measures and policies. Students will learn to recognize and adhere to specific industry standards and policies concerning privacy, ethics, and legal requirements. They will also develop strategies to ensure system survivability and resilience, demonstrating the ability to address new challenges. Additionally, the curriculum emphasizes the effective communication of complex security concepts and policies through oral, written, and visual methods.

Degree Requirements

 

Students in the Master of Science in Cybersecurity must complete a minimum of 27 credits. All coursework must be completed in accordance with the academic rules of AIU and those of the department.

Core Requirements: 21 credits

Major Requirements: 6 credits

  • CSC 530- Capstone Project Two elective courses (6 credits)
